Application Process

Students eligible to enroll at Mercy School Institute must:
Not be enrolled in any other K-12 school
Be a resident of the state of Oklahoma
Complete all enrollment steps below

Use the following link to access the portal for enrollment: https://app.sycamoreschool.com/index.php?schoolid=. The school code is 4005.
The online enrollment process is simple; parents can complete it in 15 to 20 minutes.
Advance Pre-Enrollment fee for all students:
All students are required to pay a non-refundable enrollment fee of $500 for Pre-K 3 through High School at the time of enrollment.
No refunds shall be made if the student is admitted and has failed to attend MSI.

This is a day where prospective students and their families may tour the school. Your child will shadow a classroom, take the Admission Assessment and participate in an interview with the whole family. We recommend all members of the family are present for the interview.

After completing a Shadow Day and Admission Assessment, please ensure the following documentation (if applicable) is gathered:
Pre-Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Students:
Immunization records
Birth Certificate
Report card or transcript from previous school
Teacher evaluation of student (academic and behavioral)
Standardized test scores
3rd Grade - 12th Grade Students:
Immunization records
Birth Certificate
Report card or transcript from previous school
Teacher evaluation of student (academic and behavioral)
Standardized test scores
Letter of Recommendation

*New students are admitted after an administrative review of their records and successful completion of the placement assessment. Once enrollment is confirmed, families will receive a welcome email containing information for your student to get started at Mercy School Institute.
**Mercy School Institute reserves the right not to accept a student who has been expelled or suspended from a previous school. Mercy School Institute also reserves the right to deny admission based on administrative judgment, including situations in which the school determines it cannot adequately meet a student’s emotional, behavioral, or special education needs. A Shadow Day gives prospective students the chance to meet teachers, connect with classmates, and experience what it’s like to learn at MSI. It also allows our admissions team to see how a future Mustang may thrive within the Mercy family, while giving the child a real feel for our school community.

Pre-Kindergarten: Play-based workshop where teachers observe children in a natural and engaging setting.
Kindergarten – 5th Grade: Computer-based reading assessment.
6th Grade and Above: Computer-based reading and math assessments, plus a written essay.
The family interview also serves as a part of the admissions process.

Admission decisions are made based on the requirements met by prospective students and availability in student grade levels.

Waitlisted students have met all admission requirements however, due to a lack of vacancies in their grade level they have been waitlisted to join Mercy School Institute.
Parents should seek alternative placement for their child if they have been waitlisted. Should a spot open up, our admissions team will contact you directly.

Because Mercy School Institute receives more applications than available spots, many students may be placed on a waitlist. Please note that priority acceptance is given in the following order provided all admission requirements are met:
Children of staff members
Siblings of currently enrolled students
Families who have previously applied
New applicants (in the order applications are completed)
If a seat becomes available, families will be contacted according to this priority system.

During open enrollment, admission decisions are typically communicated by March. Applications submitted outside of this period are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, depending on grade-level availability, school calendar, and other factors.
