PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS:
K-6TH GRADE Attendance at school at least
80% of the time they have been enrolled for that school year. Students
missing 20 days or more must meet with parents, teacher and principal
to discuss academic progress. Minimum final grades is S- or D in
Reading and Math A score of not less than 6 months below grade level
in Reading, Math, English, and spelling on the IOWA Test. Also,
at least an S- or D on the Islamic studies testing. Preschool &
Kindergarten must be socially and physically ready in order to be
promoted as determined in an interview. Students receiving a U or
N in Qur'an, Islamic Studies, or Arabic, or score more than six
months below grade level on the IOWA Test must go to a remedial
summer school at the parent's expense. Upon successful passing of
a second test given at MS before the opening of school, the student
will be promoted to the next grade level.
RETENTION
A student not meeting the promotion
requirements listed above will be retained for the next school year
with the exception of excessive absence due to major illness or
injury provided they submit documentation to the office that will
substantiate this.
