Admission Requirements

  • Students are admitted during the first four weeks of school and in the first two weeks of the second semester (only for transfer students).
  • Students entering during second semester must have enrolled in another school for the first semester at the same grade level.
  • New students are required to take the ITBS test and score no more than 6 months below grade level for grades 2-4.
  • No student, 1st grade and up will be permitted to school if he/she does not speak/write English well.
  • PreK3 will be based on age only as follows (no placement tests): If their birthday falls before September 1st they will qualify for the PreK3 level. If their birthday falls between Sep1 and Nov30th they may start school on the day of their birthday. No students will be accepted in PreK3 who have their birthdays after Nov30th. All students must be out of their diapers and potty trained.
  • Students will automatically qualify for PreK4 if their birthday falls before September 1st. If their birthday falls between September 1st and November30th they must attend PreK3 until their 4th birthday and then be promoted to PreK4 subject to availability (Note: No students will be accepted in PreK4 who have their 4th birthday after Nov30th). There are no placement tests for entering PreK4. All students must be out of their diapers and potty trained.
  • 5th birthday before Sept. 1st automatically qualifies for KG. If 5th birthday is between Sept. 1st to Nov. 30th, must take placement test (NEAT Test). Students whose 5th birthday is after Nov. 30th will not be accepted in KG.
  • Entrance to 1st Grade Level: 6th birthday before Sept. 1st and 1 year KG, 6th birthday before Sept. 1st with no KG must take NEAT Test, If 6th birthday is between Sept. 1st to Nov. 30 with KG must take NEAT Test, If 6th birthday between Sept. 1st to Nov. 30th with no KG will not be accepted in 1st Grade. 6th birthday after Nov. 30th will not be accepted in 1st grade
  • Entrance to grade levels 2nd and up is based on successful completion of lower grade levels and other criteria as defined in the parents handbook.

Items Required to Enter School

  • Before the student will be allowed to enter the classroom, the office must have:
  • Complete registration form.
  • Evidence of date of birth (An official document copy)
  • Health Certificate-any child entering MS for the first time must present a certification of a school-entry health examination performed within one year prior to entry.
  • Certificate of immunizations (see last page for immunization schedule).
  • Documents from any previous schools.
  • Placement tests.
  • Parent signed permission slip.
  • Complete financial arrangements.
